(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) has released the preliminary visitor arrival report for July 2022, which shows that arrivals for the month ended with 41,091 visitors (+219.5%) welcomed to the island.

OKAYAMA PREFECTURE AND GUAM RELATIONS – FORGING PARTNERSHIPS TOWARD DIRECT AIR SERVICE

(Okayama Prefecture, Japan) Guam is gaining additional mileage with the GoGo! Guam road show in Fukuoka Japan.  In subsequent meetings in Okayama prefecture, GVB President & CEO Carl T.C. Gutierrez, GVB Board Chairman Milton Morinaga, and Guam Airport Executive Manager John M. Quinata were warmly received by Okayama Governor Ryuta Ibaragi, Director of the Prefectural Life Department, Mr. Takashi Ikenaga, and Head of Aviation Planning and Promotion, Mr. Teruaki Mori. 
 
 
 

Guam welcomes return of flights from Japan


(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) announced that Guam welcomed the return of flights from Japan from two of the island’s major airlines this month.
 
 
 

Overseas mission successful in reconnecting with over 100 trade partners

(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and 11 members of the island’s travel trade successfully completed an overseas mission in South Korea while receiving the Best Organizing Booth award at the Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF). The fair is hosted by the Korea World Travel Fair and is one of the largest international travel fairs in South Korea. GVB and Guam’s travel trade partners teamed up to engage with 37,000 visitors over the four-day event from June 23-26, 2022.
 
 
 

GVB & DPHSS partner for free COVID testing for visitors

(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) announced it is partnering with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) to launch a free COVID testing program for visitors returning to their home countries. The program is in direct response to South Korea’s update of its entry protocols.
 
 
 
 

Guam to welcome first trade fam tour from Japan since 2019

(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) announced that the public nonprofit membership corporation will be hosting its first trade familiarization tour from Japan since 2019. The tour will be from June 13-16, 2022, and will bring approximately 50 travel agents, media, and other travel trade partners to the island in support of GVB’s market recovery efforts. The fam tour is being done in cooperation with United Airlines and the Japan Guam Travel Association (JGTA) as part of the GoGo! Guam campaign, which also celebrates the 55th anniversary of when the first direct flight from Japan to Guam arrived on May 1, 1967.
