(Tumon, Guam) – Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee presented a comprehensive overview of Guam’s tourism landscape at the Guam Chamber of Commerce’s general membership meeting. Held at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa on Wednesday, October 29th. Lee’s presentation focused on the state, strategies, and future of tourism as well as the need for partnerships to support industry improvements.
Addressing a gathering of business leaders and community stakeholders, Lee provided an in-depth look at the current state of Guam’s tourism, highlighting recent double-digit year over year growth in visitor arrivals, updates on visitor profiles, marketing trends and campaigns, air service development, and destination management initiatives. Efforts to improve the Guam product include the existing partnership with the Chamber and the Islandwide Beautification Taskforce on graffiti control and events such as the Guam International Dance Festival and the Tumon Night Market (TNM). TNM vendors attended the meeting in testament of its success and continued opportunities for local businesses.
In addition to the highlighted successes, ongoing challenges were also discussed as the presentation delved into key strategies GVB is implementing to enhance visitor experiences and foster sustainable partnerships within the community. Lee also acknowledged support from the administration, partner agencies, and the Guam legislature which continues to keep the tourism economy moving forward.
Lee shared insights into current and upcoming initiatives and campaigns designed to attract visitors, calling for collaborative efforts between the government, private sector, and local community to achieve these goals.

In a Q&A session following her presentation, Lee addressed questions on a possible Philippine Visa Waiver, Malaysian market development, influencer collaborations, and investment initiatives. Discussions took place regarding public facility improvements and the Tourism Attraction Fund (TAF) resources allocated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for restoration of facilities such as park restrooms. Lee also received requests for collaboration from the Chamber’s Armed Forces Committee and Hinanano I Magahet Yan I Ininna (HMI) to expand military transient markets, veteran tourism, and integration.
The presentation underscored GVB’s commitment to responsible tourism development and its role in enhancing the overall quality of life for Guam residents.
