Entertainment line-up confirmed for Guam Micronesia Island Fair

The Mana’o Company and Marianas Homegrown to be featured on Pepsi Stage
(Tumon, Guam) The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) along with T-Galleria by DFS, Westin Resort Guam and United Airlines today confirmed the entertainment lineup for the 28th annual Guam Micronesia Island Fair (GMIF), which will take place from May 15-17, 2015 at Governor Joseph A. Flores Memorial (Ypao Beach) Park in Tumon.
With this year’s theme of “Bridging past, present and future – The Journey to FestPac”, GVB is bringing in Island Reggae group, The Mana’o Company, to feature their blend of reggae-inspired rhythms. Best known for their hit song “Drop Baby Drop”, the award winning band will share the GMIF Pepsi stage with local music legends, Marianas Homegrown, who will perform celebrated songs including “Inner Voices”, “Apo Magi”, and “Chamorrita”. Other GMIF artists include Love & Håfa Adai, Stay Tuned, R&R, Phoenix Stage Band and Rising Tide. Admission to this weekend long GVB signature cultural event is free.
“With GMIF signifying the launch and countdown to FestPac, this festival will showcase performing artists from Guam and Micronesia, alongside celebrated performers from across the Pacific,” said GVB General Manager Nathan Denight. “We invite our local residents and visitors to experience the rich history of Guam, Rota, Tinian, Saipan, as well as the Federates States of Micronesia and the republics of Kiribati, Nauru, the Marshall Islands, and Palau during this three day cultural celebration.”
GMIF will also feature a variety of food and beverage vendors, artisans, cultural exhibitors and entertainment that include a farmer's market, local produce, petting zoo, volleyball tournament, interactive art workshops and live art demonstrations.
The 28th Guam Micronesia Island Fair is presented by the Guam Visitors Bureau, T-Galleria by DFS, Westin Resort Guam and United Airlines.
