Countdown to 2019 at the Guam Visitors Bureau New Year's Eve Fireworks Show & Food Truck Festival

(Tumon, Guam) —The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), along with T Galleria by DFS, present the return of the annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show and Food Truck Festival. This GVB signature event will be held at the Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park (Ypao Beach) on Monday, December 31st.

“This event is for our residents and visitors to thank them for supporting Guam’s top industry and show them how tourism works for all,” said Nathan Denight, Guam Visitors Bureau President & CEO. “As we enter the second year of our ‘#instaGuam’ campaign in 2019, we encourage everyone to share their photos on social media to promote Guam as the perfect vacation destination.”

The event will kick off with live entertainment, food trucks, and family-friendly activities beginning at 5 p.m. Local food trucks - Coco’s Street Sweets, A&L BBQ, Munchies Guam, Guam Snowie, Sticky Fingers, Island Kraves, Håfa Adai Lemonade, Sip and Dip, and Pokeyz -will be posted at the event. Family-friendly activities will include face painting, henna tattoos, and balloon art by Fundforte. There will also be special performances by Patrick Palomo and Tradewinds from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Ryan Imamura and Martin Honor from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks show will last 10 minutes and will be synchronized to a special musical presentation at the stroke of midnight. Participants are encouraged to share their best photos of the New Year’s Eve fireworks with #instaGuam on social media and upload it to instaguam.visitguam.com for a chance to win $100.

The New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show and Food Truck Festival is presented by the Guam Visitors Bureau and T Galleria by DFS.
